Europe Trip #1 - April 6, 2022 - Vienna Day 3 -Part 1- The Belvedere And More

Kel and I had an early morning walk.

Kel and Gin and Stephensplatz

Buds and Buster had a morning outing together.

Off they go.

Then a little later most of us headed to The Belvedere, expecting a palace, but being (mostly) pleasantly surprised to find great art exhibitions.

Ready for the tram.

The front of the palace.

Ready to begin the tour.

Soaked in beauty from ceiling to floor.

Much discussion for Buds and me about this painting, “Evil Mothers.”

(Even as I write this post in mid-June, I’m still ruminating on “Evil Mothers.”)

Klimt’s “The Kiss” done in a way folks could feel.

Such a good doggo.

An artist we also saw from the Vienna museum the day before.

The detail!!

Everyone needs a restroom!

Ready for lunch.

There was so much to love at The Belvedere.

By the end of our time there, we were all very hungry and headed to an open air market so some could have sushi and others could have something else. This was my one “hmmm” moment of the whole trip as a vegan. The menu said “vegan pizza.”

Turns out that means salad in between a folded over pizza dough. 😆😆

It was actually quite delicious.

The afternoon held assorted adventures for folks, and that post will be upcoming.
