Update: January 8, 2023

Still 5 humans, but now 1 dog and 2 cats. We moved to Rochester, NY on Thanksgiving Day in 2021. Everyone still happy and healthy.

Update: August 2, 2018.

The crew is now five humans and two cats loving in Nashville. The children are nearly 16, 14, and 11.

The goals are the same except I don’t feel guilty anymore. These young humans I get to spend my life with are incredible, so something must be going well.

We are a family of five humans and three pets living, learning, and working in Northern Virginia. At the start of this blog, the children are 7, 5, and Yessa will be 3 in 3 weeks.

The goal is to keep a living record of our journey together, and since I haven’t been updating the children’s individual journals, it’s also a way to assuage maternal guilt, which the world already has plenty of.
