Hobbling Along

Monkey has been dealing with foot pain of an unknown origin for several weeks now. If it weren’t for the upcoming trip, we’d give it time and rest, but since our timeline is shortened, a trip to the podiatrist added this to our luggage.

Monkey is taking it with her usual common sense, rational approach, although she did balk at buying a pair of the ugliest shoes ever seen to match the height of the boot so her gate is more steady.

Instead of the ugly shoes she’ll be wearing the rather questionable “level up” device which is a lot like the ice grippers Ms. Jenny gave us.

This is one of the things I love about travel. You really don’t know what’s going to get thrown at you, so you’ve got to be flexible and dig deep for the sense of adventure and not of fear.

Each day brings us closer to being ready to go!!
