Christmas Day 2020

Christmas Day 2020

Christmas Day 2020 was relaxing and lovely and loving for us. A light smattering of beautiful gifts, great food prepared by an assortment of hands, games, laughter, and time together. I would take it every year for eternity.

We’re not a huge “gift” family.

We didn’t send out cards this year, but I’m grateful for all we received.

Yessa gave Buds a bidet, and we are loving it!

Yessa suggested we get Monkey a true weighted blanket (I tried to sew her one several years ago and it was a debacle. I’m sure you are shocked to hear that. ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜‚) Monkey loves it!

Buds loves his boats, and Monkey found a beautiful poster he can see when he wakes up each morning.

Buster read our annual “Red envelope.” This year we spent much money of political support, and much on supporting individuals, many of whom weren’t known to us personally but whom the pandemic hit hard.

Buds also loves the toothpaste tube roller Yessa picked out.

Making the mashed potatoes.

The Christmas Tree pull-apart bread.

The full spread:

I love when we have someone living down here (Caitlin!), and it’s a great space for big family meals, too.

The afternoon and evening held leftovers, movies, games, wearing Christmas t-shirts and pajama pants, and watching the Nutcracker.

And some time soaking up the December sun.

Another in a long line of loving holidays.
