Italy Trip- Days 7-9 Lake Como, Part 2

We were ready! We knew the ferry schedule. We knew when we had to be home. People had a good night’s sleep. Off we went.

We started with a delicious breakfast next to Lake Como:

The walk to breakfast.

We popped off the ferry and hunted up somewhere for gelato. The spot we chose was great for people watching, and a carousel horse provided some entertainment.

While enjoying our gelato we were rolling with laughter as we practiced the increasingly frantic phrases from our phrase book:

Do you speak English?

Do you know someone who speaks English?

Does ANYONE speak English?

New family motto: No gelato left behind.

We hiked around town for awhile, and wandered to a delightful restaurant tucked away up on a hill for a relaxing lunch.
