Fair Weather To Fairport
The picture above was taken one year ago. Babs had just completed her knee surgery, so I was hanging out with her in Iowa, and Buds was passing the time by biking all over, exploring trails and paths.
This year, Buds and I were together, riding on one of those paths he's been excited to show me as he reminisced about his long rides on his own last year.
Though we'd been on this trail before, we explored parts of Fairport we had not seen before, and Buddie found a superb little diner for us to enjoy for breakfast.

Since the temperature went up to 93 degrees yesterday, Buds had us up and out of the house before 6 a.m. When we wandered into Durf's at 7 a.m., their opening time, the locals were already seated with their first cup of diner coffee for the day.
The staff was friendly and quick. And for being a "cabin diner," meaning piney walls, dark feeling, bathroom with no lock; the food was delicious. We would gladly go back on a future ride.

It was a gorgeous day, and so good to be out together, enjoying the beautiful weather, the 20 bunnies that scurried out of our way, and the feeling of easy freedom that biking offers.
