Babs' Update

The pain doctor's office called and they had a cancellation!! A friend drove Babs to the office yesterday and here's what she shared:

"Just got back home. He injected my right shoulder 6-8 times. It really hurt, so he found the right spots. When he injected the front of the shoulder, he used x-ray, and said it looked like there was some separation . He didn't say anything more about it. I will return in 2 weeks for a repeat. The lidocaine is still working, so I am able to move the arm with less pain. It'll take a few days for the steroid to work. I got a script for hydrocodone and took one for my neck as soon as I got back home. So glad Rita and Louie were able to take me today."

After the second set of shots to see how the shoulder is doing, then the focus can turn to her neck which has been really giving her so much pain. Hopefully the shoulder injections relax some of the tension so that the neck pain also backs off until she get the injections.

I heard from her last night and the shoulders were still good. And when I "dropped in" on her via video this afternoon, she wasn't home, which is great news. She'd been turning down outings due to pain, so hopefully this is a good sign.
