Home Alone...
Buster and Yessa both received packets in the mail yesterday from two of the schools where they have been accepted. The packets included signs for them to post on social media (Which, of course, they won't.) to show their school choice, and Yessa also received a handy cloth bag.
Then this morning, Monkey had class on campus, Buster had class on campus, and Yessa has discovered that on campus is a very productive place for her to work and study. So, at 8:30 this morning, Buds and I waved good bye as the van drove off with all three kids inside.
This is the first time in a very, very long time that all three kiddos have been out of the house at the same time while Buds and/or I have not been out with them.
What a strange sensation it was; and good preparation for next year when it will most likely be Buds, Monkey, and me.
Holding the different emotions of excitement for them, and the sorrow of change from this life that I love so much. Also acknowledging that Monkey would love to be going off to school, and grateful that she is wise enough to know that it is not the best option for her right now.
Joy, sorrow, love...the gifts of a rich, full life.
