Babs Update- Day 5, 50% Complete!

Babs gave me permission to post these amazing pictures she shared with me and an update on how she's progressing.

She's through 5 of the 10 radiation treatments. (She doesn't have them on Saturday and Sunday.) The first two days were especially difficult, and they certainly are not easy, but she knows what to expect now, and they are down to only taking about 20 minutes, so definitely improving.

AND, a very big AND, she thinks her neck and shoulder pains are getting a little better. When I chatted with her via video last night, she was definitely turning her head toward me more than she had been.

Thanks to Babs for getting these great shots. As I said to her, I'm even more impressed by what a tough chick she is when I see these photos.

These next photos show how Mom is actually screwed down to the table so she cannot move her head. The rubber tube she's grasping is to help hold her hands and shoulders steady.

As her shirt says, "I'm not a regular mom. I'm a cool mom."
