Monkey Starts A New Project

Note: Discussion of a video game that talks about suicide in this post.

Monkey decided to start doing live streaming of herself playing a variety of video games. Stardew Valley is one she has played a very long time, but she's also playing assorted unusual, niche games that are fascinating to watch.

FYI: The character/avatar in the bottom right corner with the black hair, kitten ears, and glasses is Monkey's avatar. When you watch the video, you will see its mouth moves as she talks. She does not show her face or our home in any of the videos.

The above picture is a screenshot from one game where she had to solve multiple, interlinked puzzles to progress through the game. I watched in awe as she worked her way through, making connections that were invisible to me.

This game was one shesi discussed for awhile. You are working in a funeral home, preparing the body for burial/cremation/embalming, and then meeting the family. Monkey does a lovely job talking through the process. In the instance above, the young man who died committed suicide, and although he requested cremation, his family chose an open casket ceremony and embalming with burial for him. Monkey talks through what she believes about this decision.

She also offers an open-hearted, honest perspective about gaming and the world as an autistic person; discussion about how she does and does not perceive emotion and social cues from other people; insight into how her brain works; and grace and kindness toward characters in the game as well as the developers who created them.

This game made me laugh because she talked about how she's "not so very messy," as she is working her way through this "clean up" game.

Her space is a little messy.

I am so impressed by all the work she put into setting up this project. She figured out how to make it all work, and she did it in a professional way.

Her description of who she is and what she's used to create her channel.

You can listen to her previously made videos here: https://www.youtube.com/@CelineUnderStars

She generally streams on Wednesday and Friday nights from 10-midnight and on Saturdays from 8-midnight.

Here's one of my favorite's so far:

Please give her a listen and subscribe to her channel. She appreciates the support.
