It's Worth How Many Points?

Musing over here as I hang with Buster while he finishes an essay.

Because this is his first “formal” educational experience, it’s been fascinating to me to watch him navigate the world of rubrics and his interests and desire to absorb knowledge. It has become a family joke that he puts as much time and thought and effort into his five point sociology essays as his 75 point composition essay.

And I love that about him. He’s interested and proud to get high scores, but he’s truly here for the knowledge, which is what I’ve always hoped for him.
