The Joy of Unexpected Time

The Joy of Unexpected Time

Yessa and I cancelled a trip to Canada. (Yes, more items needed from IKEA.)

Suddenly I had 10 hours back that I hadn’t expected.

Then I realized Buster’s appointment that I thought was at 2:30 was actually at 3:30.

Another unexpected hour.

The sweetness of those hours is unlike a day devoid of plans.

It’s a release of a pressure that you didn’t realize was there.

The lightness and joy I felt was such a delight. Refreshing in a unique way.

I look forward to more cancelled more plans in the future.

(I have a strong suspicion this type of delight has long been known to my family of introverts.)
