Europe Trip #2 - June 26, 2022 - Levanto
We enjoyed our first delicious breakfast at the agritourismo this morning. Cappuccinos all around! ๐
Buds and Yessa headed down to the beach with the rest of the crowd while our big kids did some things they needed to do and I caught up on laundry and enjoyed myself in the quiet peace of reading a book on the patio.
This is a beach town for sure. There’s the crowded, free public beach and the private pay beaches. You rent the umbrellas and beach chairs, but they were sold out by the time our group arrived.
The taxi picked the three of us up at 2 p.m. at the agritourismo and we headed into town and joined up with the rest of the crowd. I was grateful for cell phones and location sharing because Buds had all our money and we needed him to pay the taxi. ๐
Monkey, Buster, and I wandered down to the water. You forget how boiling hot sand can be, but we scuttled into the water and splashed around.
Buds and Yessa came down to join us. Buds jumped in and Yessa and I went to wander the town.
After some water time, approximately 30 minutes for our pale progeny, we all joined up. Yessa decided to taxi home with the rest of the aunts, uncles, and cousins. Buster, Monkey, Buds, and I set off to explore Levanto.
The shuttle is picking us up shortly. I’m watching the bags while the other three do a little shopping.
We’ve had granitas.
Bought some books and postcards and foot relief items.
Dinner was individual focaccia pizzas that were much lighter than we’re used to.
Another lovely day. I’m settled in with a book, so won’t know what the collective decides for tomorrow until Buds lets me know. I’m sure it will be good.
