Gap In The Heat

It’s at this time of year when things are sticky that I cast my mind back to a similar time in Iowa 26 years ago.

While the summer heat may have cooled, we know it is only a brief respite until it comes back in the blazing heat of summer’s fury, but even this cannot last for the chilly grip of winter’s grasp will return soon.

Just a few thoughts on the weather in the mid season of our life, mid-summer as it were.

And by the way, we’ve been married 26 years today.
