Twisted
Thanks to my lackadaisical approach to gardening, I came to a realization this morning.
Harvesting is like playing twister to find Easter eggs on the floor of a jungle.
Working my way through the morass to find the tomatoes for my lunch makes me so happy.
I prefer not to weed. I love to watch how things grow as they choose. I’m a huge fan of volunteer plants. And I’m liberal with the compost.
This leads to the above picture which began as this:
The cauliflower has been harvested. The basil and peppers are still growing well. The rest is now a hodge podge of tomatoes, squash, and cantaloupe that are self-selected squatters.
They taste just as delicious. 😍
