That's A Wrap

Buds, Thena, and I handled the church service this weekend, and we’re all so dang proud of the outcome.

I’m hoping Buds will write a post about the creative process for making the video, but I’m so grateful for being able to work on it with two people I trust and can be honest with, and enjoy.

It was a lot of hours of work, and last minute panic as Kate and Bets told me their expected Coming of Age service was cancelled due to widespread Zoom outages, but ours came together in the last few minutes without a hitch.

Here’s the video Buddie put together with readings and music by nearly 20 church members.

And then the full service. I was so grateful Thena agreed to be service coordinator so I could focus on the tech hosting side. Monkey and Buds both helped with making sure things stayed on target, and several more church friends were ready to jump in for tech support as needed.

For better or worse, Covid-19 is offering us the opportunity to learn new skills and adapt as we are able. And no matter what it does, there is still plenty of beauty to be found in the world.
