Italy's Closed...

The Trevi Fountain failed us this round:

With the announcement this morning that Italy is on full-country quarantine, our hopes that we might still be able to pull off this next trip came to an end. Buds and I spent a little time this morning cancelling reservations and processing.

He’s working from home, possibly for awhile, in the hopes of helping to keep coronavirus at bay. I have an online board meeting for church tonight to discuss what we need to be doing to help protect and care for our members.

And Nashville continues to recover from the tornado.

It’s a lot to take in, and I’m grateful we have time and space to do that.

Missing this trip makes me feel melancholy. I was so looking forward to the time with friends there, but know that we’ll have other chances.

My heart goes out to Italy as they try to care for each other while watching their livelihoods fall apart.

It’s been too long since we’ve been there.
