Volcanic Discussion

After Monkey’s German tutorial yesterday, I asked her how it went.

“Good. We talked about a beautiful volcano my tutor saw and her weekend. I told her about our church service this weekend and about our family. We discussed same-sex marriage not being legal yet in Switzerland, and how that might be because of different protections for people who are in long-term relationships even without being married.”

“All of that in German?” I asked.

“Yup,” she smiled.

They discussed things some folks aren’t even able to discuss in English, let alone a second language.

Interesting. So very interesting.
