Not Knowing; Learning. Not Knowing; Not Caring.

Yesterday Monkey came close to dying from laughter. I used a word that had a meaning I didn’t know, and as she explained it to me, she was crying from laughter.
By the end, we were both clutching our stomachs as tears rolled down our faces.
It’s another lesson of having older children and a lesson of aging.
I used to care that there were so many things I didn’t know or couldn’t do or that I didn’t “have that sort of brain.”
And now I live with all these people and have a tribe of loved ones who have so many diverse talents and unique, interesting brains that are so totally different from mine that if I don’t know how to do something, or if I need to accomplish a task that’s outside my skills, I know who to call.
It’s such a relief.
Yesterday I was one of the lucky ones. Thanks, Randall Munroe.
