Back In The Harness Again

After the good time the girls had at a cousin’s Ropes Course/Adventure Park birthday outing, they asked about getting back to indoor rock climbing. I love it, too, so it was an easy “yes!”

We headed over there today and they make it look so easy.

We all jumped right back in the harness. (Okay, I put mine on backwards at first, but quickly figured it out.)

The girls both made it to the top readily.

I have a huge mental hurdle around trusting the automatic belay device. A fair amount of squealing each time I push off from the wall, so I wasn’t ready to skitter right to the top, but we’ll be back.

We’re looking forward to this as a regular activity once again.
