Kitty Update

We’ve had them over two months now, and their personalities have settled into the family nicely.

Waffles is the goofy, playful, food-loving kitten.

He’s also a bit of a disaster waiting to happen. In the short time he’s been with us he’s knocked over a lamp and broken two of its three bulbs; Managed to have his collar tighten so much that it was choking him; Be stepped on multiple times from being right under our feet; Ensured we bought a spray bottle to keep him off the counter and table (This morning he was on the counter licking the butter.); and finally, decided that climbing into the garbage can was a good decision.

He’s also incredibly sweet and loving, and though he does drool when he’s feeling safe and snuggled, it doesn’t stop us from welcoming him into our laps, our beds, and our hearts.

MoonStar is a character of her own. If you sit down for a few minutes, she’ll be on you or near you. She’s the more respectful and interested in Nutmeg, and she’s fascinated by bugs.

Nutmeg is still hanging in there. We started her on pain medicine which seems to have allowed her to return to more activity. She’s back to faucet drinking and wandering into the living room to boss us all around. She even tried out the kittens’ new bed.

These new babies have brought much joy and laughter to our life already.
