Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die

Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die
Yessa came along to see Wake up Dead Man.

Thanks to Buddie's Christmas present of a membership at The Little Theater, we've been averaging one movie/week, and not Blockbusters that are the movie equivalent of easy to digest candy. We've seen some thought-provoking, difficult to watch movies, and many, many trailers for movies that are either, "maybe??," "YES!," or "Nope, Nope, Nope, a million times, nope!"

Our most recent outing was to see Good Luck, Have Fun, Don't Die. Buds picked this one after I chose last week's Come See Me In The Good Light, which we loved, but tore my heart out.

Dying poet

And the week before that was All That's Left Of You, which also had me sobbing.

Dead son

We were ready for some light hearted humor, if possible. And Good Luck... provided much laughter, while also offering a stark vision of an AI controlled future.

Warning: the trailer continues an abundance of cursing. You have been warned.

Another dead son, but also humanity

I would definitely see this one again. Lots of clues you don't know to notice the first time through.

Our first movie we saw at The Little Theater was The Baltimorons. It was fun and cute, a good way to kick off our moving viewing adventure. The two main characters were so easy to like.

Would we watch it again...yes.

Dead marriage

One we had very high hopes for that did not deliver quite the punch we wanted was Eternity. It's such a great premise; woman dies and has to pick which of her two husbands she wants to spend eternity with. Does she choose the war hero husband who died 67 years ago, or the second husband she had for 50 years.

Oof, not an easy choice, and maybe hits close to home for us, huh, Babs?

Everybody's dead

Finally, one of our favorite ones that Yessa went along with us to see was Wake Up Dead Man. This is the third in the Knives Out franchise, and we have loved all of them.

Dead priest

It's been a lot of fun to see so many movies in a theater, and the amount of self-congratulations we give each other, "Look at us, getting out of the house at night!" is definitely over the top, but we're not likely to stop.

Next up, Nirvana The Band The Show The Movie. Pretty sure this one won't have any death in it, and I'm ready for that.

Please, no death!
