A New Year's Visit To Virginia 2025
Yessa and I had a Monday-Friday visit with our Virginia family to celebrate the beginning of 2026. The trips had an adventure planned to Philly to explore. We knew we all wanted to watch the finale of Stranger Things, and I wanted to see Jenny and crew. Other than that, our days flowed by with lots of walks, time spent reading, errands, crafting, deep conversations, and so very much laughter.

The Trips had a grand outing to Philly for the day, and had many stories to share when they returned. They also got in walks and workouts, as the rest of us did, too.

Bets dug out Paula's sewing machine and taught herself to sew to repurpose a dress she purchased at a thrift store.

Katoots and Yessa recovered the window seat cushion for Kate's room.

Kel and I went to get her a new pair of glasses, and instead of an open optometrist's office, we found an unlocked door leading to a darkened space. Spooky, yet intriguing...

Jenny and I had a delicious sushi dinner together, and when they moved us from a spot in the middle of the restaurant to a spot tucked in the back, we chose to believe it was for our comfort, not because our laughter was disrupting the other patrons.
Paula has long wanted to make their home look like a gingerbread house in winter, and this year she nailed it. They have icicle lights hanging from all the eaves, and she found a gingerbread blow up for the front door, and it looks magical.

I loved our time together. Thank you for the visit, Dear Ones.
