The New Stove Is Here!!

Ever since we moved here (4 years in November), we have missed having an induction stove. We bought a new one on my birthday, but it has taken a bit to coordinate our electrician getting the wiring run, and then having it delivered, but all of that is in the past, and we are an induction family once again!!

The old gas stove still works well and will either go to our rental or I'll find a new family to appreciate it.

The two young men who installed the new stove today use these forearm straps to take out the old stove and bring the new one in, and they were so much better than an unwieldy dolly!

It only took them about 10 minutes to get the cord attached to plug in the new stove.

Buds and Monkey had taken Mocha on a walk while it was installed because one of the gentlemen had been bitten by a dog on a delivery in the past, and politely asked for no exposure, even to a friendly dog. It was a delight for them to come back to find the men gone and water ready to boil for our first pasta in a week.

This is the fanciest stove we've ever owned. It's got a warming spot, can boil water in a flash, and hooks up via wi-fi to your phone so you can start the oven on the way home from the grocery store. We can also air fry and convect bake in the oven. These are all lovely features, but I am happiest about the ease of cleaning. It makes life so much easier.
