The Three Days Of Monkey's Birthday-2025

Monkey has a set of things she likes to have happen on her birthday:
- Frozen Yogurt
- Costco Pizza
- Barbie Movie (Classic Barbie cartoon, not the Greta Barbie, although she likes that one, too.)
- Cake
- A dinner out is also fantastic, but not a requirement.
This year due to my work, Buddie's work, Buster finishing up a summer course, and the timing of her birthday, Monkey graciously agreed that we could have 3 days to celebrate her birthday instead of just one. So very kind.
Thursday, August 7th, her actually birthday, Buds and I worked, and Buster was furiously studying for a final, so Yessa and Monkey began the celebrating together. They had an outing to the favorite thrift store where they found a few items, then stopped for fro-yo at Yo-Lickety on the way home. (That name makes me cringe/laugh every single time.)

They graciously carried home Yo-Lickety for Buster since he couldn't go along.
On Friday, I still had to work, and Buster had to take his final, but Buds and Yessa both swung into action to ensure our evening activities would be a hit.
Yessa and I crafted the strawberry cupcakes Monkey chose for this year, as well as a vegan chocolate cherry tart for anyone who wanted to try some of that.

Buds and Buster stopped at Costco for the pizza purchase on their way home from Buster's final (which went fantastically), and that evening we all gathered to eat, sing, and snark at "Barbie And The Three Musketeers."

We ended the 3-days of Monkey Birthday with dinner out at our favorite restaurant. We made this a combined Monkey's birthday, my birthday, Buster finishing his class, Yessa finishing her job, Buster and Yessa heading off to school, and Buddie's favorite video game having its 10-year anniversary. (We had to dig deep for Buds. 😉)
As we always do at Maru, we felt welcomed and cared for as we dined on delicious food we enjoy.

Happy, happy birthday, Monkey. May this next year hold joy, laughter, and possibility for you.
