Days Like This Remind Us Why We Moved Here

Saturday encapsulated so many reasons we are gleefully giddy about our Rochester move, even after nearly 4 years.
We began the day with four of us getting in a great, tire-flipping workout at CrossFit.

We've settled into teams of Buds/Yessa, Buster/Gin for these CrossFit Saturdays. Those match-ups fit the personality types of the individuals. Three more Saturday workouts with all of us, and I am loving every second of them, even as I am gasping for air.
After CrossFit, Buds and I walked the compost bucket down to the drop off location at the park near us, then we had a little time while Yessa and I talked about her dorm room planning, and we watched the show "Back To The Frontier."
Buds, Yessa, and I decided we'd like to have an adventure like this as a family, but only for 2 weeks max, not for a whole summer.
In the afternoon, we had a logistical puzzle to solve. We seldom find that having only one car is an issue, but we do have to get creative and active.
Yessa had to leave for work at 3:30 p.m.. She gets through with work around 6:30 p.m.
Monkey was invited to a friend's sister's high school graduation celebration, and needed to be there at 4 p.m., as well as being picked up at some point later in the evening.
Buds and I were meeting friends at Radio Social for bowling at 5 p.m.
Buster would be staying home working on calculus. He was easy.
Here's how the plan came together...
Buds would load a bike in the back of the van.
Yessa, Monkey, and I would drive Yessa to work, then I would drop Monkey off at her friend's house.
After I dropped Monkey off, I would drive the van back to Yessa's work place, park it in the employee section of the parking lot, drop the bike out of the back, and bike to Radio Social.
Buds would bike to Radio Social, meeting up with our friends and me at 4:45 to be ready for our assigned 5 p.m. bowling slot.
We'd hang out with our friends as long as we chose. Yessa would pick up Monkey after work at around 6:30. We'd all meet up at home later in the evening to discuss how our afternoons had gone.
It worked like clockwork.
Monkey had a great time meeting friends and family.

Yessa had a great day at work, being told by one of her more difficult co-workers that she is a great person to work with, a hard worker, and he would be glad to be a future reference for her whenever she might need.
Buds and I had a great time bowling, including laughing with our friends, but also getting to hold the sweet, smiley baby of the people sharing the lane next to us.

Buds and I biked home and enjoyed the rest of the evening with our crew.
It was perfect!
