The Rest Of The Virginia Visit-June 2025

Though the focus of the trip to Virginia was to cheer for Betty and Kate, we squeezed in time with other loved ones where we could, too.
We had the chance to meet the sweet daughter of one of Buddie's co-workers. It was a delight to crawl around on the floor and be bossed around by a two year old for the first time in a long time.
We also got to enjoy as much time as possible with Jenny, Brendan, and crew. They served up a delicious sushi dinner our first night in town.

To sit and visit with these much-missed, chosen family members, always fills my soul.

It was Buddie's birthday, and Jenny made him his favorite key lime pie.

Always a joy to be together. It's still not easy to get a shot with all of us. ๐

Jenny and I had breakfast together on Monday morning and then walked around the Mosaic district until The Trips drove over to have aรงai bowls. We got to hug them, then Jenny headed off to work. We were getting together for dinner, so I knew I'd be seeing her again soon.
Graduation was that afternoon, we saw Buddie's co-worker, then Buds decided to use our $25 gift card from the hotel at dinner downstairs. I kept him company until Jenny arrived after a full work day and she and I headed off to talk about love, life, and the future over dinner.

Yessa joined us at the hotel that night since Kate and Bet's had the after-grad party. Paula also volunteered for the event.
Tuesday morning, breakfast with Kel and Betty, then on the road to home.

We stopped in the cute little town of Lewisburg for lunch. We had the entire restaurant to ourselves and the owner was lamenting his move to Lewisburg from State College and the lack of business. We enjoyed our lunch and left a great review, and I hope he can hang on.

It was a quick trip, but I'm glad we had the time together.
