Kate IS Morticia!

Any photos of Kate dressed as Morticia Addams are from the school theater program Instagram page. We definitely did not take any photos in the theater during the show. Definitely did not.
For this last glorious event of Kate's high school acting career, Yessa and I headed out on Saturday morning.

We arrived in time to see Kate before she left to get made up. The rest of us also had time to enjoy some sushi for our dinner before heading to the theater at 6:30.
As a side note, having kids who don't mind running out to get the sushi is such a gift!

Delicious dinner, visiting and laughing, then Bets headed off to her job while the rest of us headed to the newly renovated theater at the school.

I know I am biased, but Kate was easily the highlight of the show. Dancing in heels, handling any wrinkles in the action that came up, fantastic voice, hitting the humor points spot on; she was fantastic.
After the show we headed home to enjoy more time together while we waited for Kate to get home.

After a fantastic night of sleep, we all got up relatively early so The Trips and The Moms could head out to breakfast, separately, because that's what you can do with grown up kids.

The Moms headed to a French cafe, and it was my first time having a bowl of coffee, which I loved. (Any Louise Penny readers will recognize the bowls of café au lait that Inspector Gamache enjoys.)

Back at home Kate and Bets headed off for their activities and Yessa and I had a little last time with Paula and Kel.

As always, the time flew by, and it felt like we had just walked back into the room together after a brief time apart.
Congratulations, Kate, and thanks to all of you for a lovely weekend.
