What A Great Night!

We had so much fun last night.

Monkey was a hit. Her story was fantastic, as was her introduction of her classmate who was the final act. That classmate was our second favorite reading of the night with her poems "Beautiful and "The Mason."

Monkey was tickled to step up to the podium to see friends and family were watching, ready to cheer for her from across the country. Thank you to all of you who were able to zoom in.

We all enjoyed the venue and the event, but our favorite part of the evening was gathering in the family room afterward to sing our praises of Monkey and discuss our feelings about the other readings.

I took videos of our conversations, but there is a lot of cursing, mixed in with so much laughter.

We all agreed it takes a lot of courage to share your writing. It was quite a night.

Well done, Monkey. We're so proud of you.
