MCC Graduation May 29, 2025

Yessa and Buster submitted their official RSVP's for walking at the commencement ceremony on May 29th. It will be held at Blue Cross Arena, beginning at 7 p.m.

Based on last year's ceremony, it will be 3 hours long, and we do not expect anyone to attend, besides those in the immediate family. Others are certainly welcome. With the gift of the internet, the event will be live-streamed for those who would like to watch from home.

This page will have the ceremony. (It is last year's graduation now, but will be updated for this year.)

Watching on the MCC youtube page is another option.

In addition, Yessa will have an Honors Commencement Ceremony at 3 p.m. on May 22nd. This distinction was earned through her hard work and commitment over these last years. As the email informing her said:

"Your academic record at Monroe Community College has demonstrated the high academic achievement required for recognition at the Honors Convocation ceremony.

Only students who have earned a GPA of 3.95 or higher qualify for this prestigious award. The Honors Convocation ceremony will take place on Thursday, May 22, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. in the MCC Theatre."

It is unclear if this ceremony will be live-streamed or not. I will post an update as soon as I hear more about that.

Next week they get to pick up their caps and gowns. The following week is their last week of classes. Time is speeding by.
