Spring Break-Iowa Edition-2025-Day 4

I started off the day by walking over to pick up the dragonfly rock that had been calling my name. After breakfast, I went over and picked up Mom so we could drive to Sunset Memorial to see what we could do for David's plot.

I also had the chance to visit with Mom's new neighbor. She had baked 15 dozen cookies that morning and she gifted us a dozen snickerdoodles for a picnic planned for later in the day. Buddie loves a good snicker, so this was a great chance to set him up with delicious.

It was a sunny, windy day, and we were glad to be out doing something meaningful. With a garden trowel and a broom, we managed to make it look pretty good.

That was a great start to our day, but the best was yet to come. A good friend from college has an acreage outside of Des Moines. She made time to take us out to see the property. That outing is going to get its own post.
