Spring Break-Iowa Edition-2025-Day 3

Not a lot of pictures for this day, although it was full of much activity. Mom had a meeting in Des Moines, then we went to visit my brother who had been admitted to the hospital. Not the dinner out we had discussed having with him and his family, but we were glad to see him.

After those outings, I dropped Mom at home, spent a little time with Buds and Monkey, then at 5 p.m., headed back to Mom's to meet Pippi, my best friend of 40 years, for dinner out. Mom loves seeing Pips, too, so we visited there for a little, then off to The Burger Barn for a meal.

Pippi and I talked of life, love, memories, family, and hopes for several hours, as one does. Such a relief and joy to visit with a friend who has known you for so long that there's no need to explain much. You can just drop back into whatever conversation pops into your head.
