Thirty-one years ago we met!!
Buds and I started our 32nd year of knowing each other yesterday.
We began with CrossFit, as we love to do, and it was our coach's birthday, so we took a celebration picture together. She turned 5 the day we met. π
Buster had his first tutoring work day of the semester, plus he and Yessa both had class on campus, so they were gone all day until almost 5. I knew they'd be hungry and I wanted a family dinner to celebrate our anniversary, so I had varieties of chicken tetrazzini ready when they got home.
Monkey likes her tetrazzini with peas. Buster likes it with broccoli. Buds will eat whatever.
Yessa and I had our "chicken" tetrazzini with both peas and broccoli.
I even made chocolate chocolate cake.
The Great British Bake Off has ruined me because when I bake, I hear Paul and Prue's comments in my head.
The frosting was a little grainy. You did need to have a pomegranate pip with each bite to cut the richness of the chocolate. It would have been better with a whipped cream frosting. But, it tasted delicious, and we didn't complain about any of the minor faults!
Monkey and Buster had other things they wanted to do, but Yessa joined Buds and me to watch Greta Gerwig's "Little Women." We all enjoyed it, though the time hopping was a little confusing. I adore the book, and the other two haven't read it, so it was delightful for each of us in a different way. Of course, I grew up wanting to be Jo, and how grateful I am that I found my professor Bhaer.
A few shots from our first two weeks of dating:
Okay, that wasn't in the first two weeks of dating, but don't I look so dang cute?!?!
These really are from the first two weeks:
Happy meeting anniversary, Buds. What will the next 31 bring?
