行くぞ、バスター!
Translation: "Let's go, Buster!"
Pronunciation: "Iku zo, Basutā!"
Buster began his job as a Japanese tutor at the MCC academic support center yesterday. After weeks of buildup and waiting and talking to his professors to get recommendations and more waiting and anxiety, I received this text from him while he was working:
After Yessa got home from work, she rode along to pick him up after this first day. There will be days he'll need to take the bus home, but today we were all excited to hear how it went.
Buds had packed a mini dinner for him because he had texted that he was so hungry and needed to bring double the amount of food the next time.
He had one student come in for help and it went well. The other employees were friendly and he felt comfortable in the space.
He's so good at explaining information and such a deep thinker. And as most of us know, explaining it to someone else is a fantastic way to make sure you truly understand items.
He'll work two days/week for a couple hours each day.
I'm excited to see what this new adventure brings him.
Update: He sent me a picture of his work zone.
