Flying With Feeling
Every single airport visit since my brother died in January of 2020 has brought me thoughts of him.
Waiting to board the plane home to Nashville in the Phoenix airport, fighting to hold back the great gulping sobs. That was a hard flight, and the I didn't even know of the impending epidemic.
Airports may be the largest repositories of the intense spectrum of human emotions in the world. Terror, grief, excitement, delight, exhaustion, joy; airports have seen it all.
As much as I still miss Steven, I'm grateful for the reminders of him.
