29 Years

29 Years

Some people talk about knowing their love interest would be a good parent. That that knowing played a role in their decision to marry.

That was not the case for me.

I was not even sure I wanted to have children; unsure if I could be a good parent. However, I do remember the first time Buddie ever mentioned our future children.

We were riding an up escalator at the St Louis airport. He was taking me for my spring break flight to visit Saffi in a small town in Virginia, and Barton in Annapolis, MD.

A family with a little boy rode the escalator past us on the opposite side and Buddie said, "Our little boy will wear cowboy boots."

We had known each other 6 weeks.

Though his powers of premonition were slightly askew, it was our daughter who would wear cowboy boots, he saw the future more clearly than I did.

We don't get to spend this 29th wedding anniversary together, but we'll celebrate when I get home.

Until then, Buddie, as you are mine, I am yours.

What follows is a large number of pictures I love of Buddie and me. Feel free to skip this part if you aren't me. They are in random order.
