Faro Day 11 - Europe 2023

Faro Day 11 - Europe 2023

June 4 –

We had such a short time here we popped out as soon as we could.

The huge awnings are a brilliant way to make the streets more inviting.
Our strawberry shakes were a great refresher.
The busy marina.

This is a beach town, although the beach isn’t close by. Its connection to the water is strong. Lots of Island-hopping tours available.

We walked all over and talked and planned, as we love to do, then picked up Yessa from the room to go out for dinner. She was looking forward to sushi, but was happy to go be with Buds and me while we enjoyed a superb Indian meal. Portugal is not a “heavy on the hot and spicy” kind of country, which is perfect for me. This Indian food was perfect.

After we’d all dined, Buds and I went back out to have drinks, something we have never done before. People talk about it all the time, “Let’s meet up for drinks,” they say in movies, but we’d actually did it for the first time. Portugal has a, “green” wine, which Buddie enjoyed and tried in several places. It seemed to be like a very dry white wine. I had a beautiful day drink with vodka. A much stronger drink than I would normally have, so Buds helped me out with it.

Our bus didn’t leave the next morning until 10, so we knew we could have a relaxed morning.

It was a lovely ending to the day.
