Good Bye To The Rainbow Wrestle Mat

Good Bye To The Rainbow Wrestle Mat

Buddie’s parents gave it to Buster as a Christmas present right before we moved to Virginia, so this rainbow mat has been a part of our lives since 2006.

It was just the right size for laying it out on the floor in the Reston living room. And when it wasn’t in use, it was easy to stand it up on the side, ready to be dropped on the floor for a wrestling mat at any moment.

It made the floor a little comfier.

Watching over the tea party.

A game of “Save Princess Buttercup” could break out at any moment.

It made the move to Nashville with us where it was used upstairs for many years, and eventually made its way to the garage to be used for workouts.

Ready for sit ups.

We carried it with us to Rochester, but after not using it for a year, we decided it could find its way to a new family who could use it for wrestling and tumbling and laughing.

There was lots of interest when I posted it to the Free group I’m part of, and I chose a Mom with a 4 y.o. with Autism and a 2 month old baby. She kindly sent me video and pictures of her son spinning and stimming with delight at his new gift and then wearing his green shirt to sit on the green section of the rainbow mat.

It was a little wrench to give it away, but I love knowing another family will get many years of use from it.
