Let Christmas Begin

Let Christmas Begin

We have been singing Christmas carols since November 1, and after our belated Turkey dinner on Sunday, we headed out to the same Boy Scout spot where we got our first Rochester tree last year. We had the lot largely to ourselves and we swiftly set up our surprise candy cane tree that has become our regular tradition for years now.

Sweet tart flavored candy canes because not everyone likes mint.

It took awhile but we finally reached consensus on the best tree for us this year, and those boy scouts loaded ‘er up.

We brought it in the house and got it set up. Decorating will wait a day or two.

After coordinating calendars, Wednesday night was chosen as our decorating time together.

Fire and Christmas carols playing.

Boxes brought down from the attic.

Coffee tree from Tina on the mantel.

Pearl sorting help from everyone.

A little wrestling for good measure.

Lap dog wants to be part of everything.

Looking good.

Still snuggly no matter the age…

Or the height.

Lit and decorated.

This is a fun house to decorate.

Having those tree and stairwell lights on really makes it feel like Christmas.
