It Was Great!

Thanks to so many of you lovingly checking in about Yessa’s class yesterday. I love knowing we’ve got a village, even if we aren’t planted in the same place.

Class was great. Her self -study over the last year stood her in good stead as she understood and deciphered several signs folks who had had no exposure were confused by.

As she told us about the stories the professor shared and the new information she’d acquired, we kept asking, “You got all this with no talking?!” The professor is deaf and the entire class was in sign.

Out of a class of about 25, 4 didn’t know any signs, 3 people seemed to know a lot, and Yessa and the rest had some knowledge.

It’s going to be an adventure.
