The Layer Report

Teresa’s first question for me on our morning coffee chat was, “How many layers are you wearing?”

It’s 4 degrees, feels like -4 degrees.

Our bedroom curtains were frozen to the window this morning, and the ice was thick and beautiful inside the kitchen window.

MoonStar has discovered a favorite location on the hot air vent in the living room.

As for Teresa’s question: It’s 3 layers, top and bottom.

Teresa asked for a grand reveal, but I’m only up for a picture. 😁

Yessa and I are the cooks for tonight’s family dinner, so we’re headed out to the grocery store.

Since I’m still cold inside the house, not sure what else I’ll add to bulk up to go outside. 😳

And I do realize there are lots of places, including Iowa and Vermont, that are regularly much colder than this. It’s such a learning curve for us, plus trying to decide how much to fight the cold inside the house and/or adapt to it, it’s an ongoing process I’m enjoying.
