Alarmed

I’d forgotten when you move into a new home that there are many things to learn, including that the alarm you are hearing is simply the dishwasher indicating it has completed its work.

It’s not an alarm indicating the house is about to blow up and you must save the family.

Who even has an alarm for that?!?!
