In preparation for our upcoming Italian trip, here’s a funny little video. This is made with Final Cut Pro which I’m learning for the trip.

But enough about software, let’s talk hardware. Some of my favorite videos from our last trip came from a Sony ActionCam we had at the time. This little baby could take stop motion vids and we used it to capture adventures like this of us threading the needle up through olive groves to our pad in the countryside above Lucca.

and this one of the clouds at our place in the Dolomites.

That ActionCam died a honorable, muddy death attempting to document my Tough Mudder Race.

For this years trip, we’re using a Dji Osmo Pocket. Its a GoPro welded to a gimbal crossed with computational smarts that let it firmware up some phase detection hyperlapses. Many of those words are real.

We’re ready to shred and earn those sweet likes, upvotes and dilly-doots.
