Time together

We’ve spent the week with Chris’ family at a house we collectively rented in the Poconos.  You can see the house here: Himmlischer Chateau.

It has been a good reminder to me of how important sheer time is for feeling comfortable and relaxed with people.  The cousins have adored being able to play with each other as soon as they awaken in the morning until the very end of the day.  The adult children have had time to play and hold each other’s kids, as well as trade memories of childhood and current life.

Having a space where each family has at least one bedroom of their own, as well as group spaces large enough for all of us to congregate, how great it has been.

Some fun pictures of the week:

Dress Up With Cousins

Monkey enjoyed shuffleboard.

The siblings know how to enjoy each other’s company.

Noa adores Cousin Meg

Again with the sippy cups…Sigh…everyone wanted the sippy cups…

Cousin O tried to convince The Buster to try the horse ride, but he was having none of it.

The Ugly Potato Horse Sweatshirts and a nearby playground made for great fun.

Our crew was thrilled to have Dad around for the whole week!

Lots of great family photos taken.  With people in the family from 6 months to over 65 y.o., it was quite a task to get all 19 facing the same direction and no one crying.
