SUNY Geneseo Visit
One of Betty's coaches attended SUNY Geneseo and suggested it to her as a possible college that would fit her future goals well. Paula, Kel, and Kate and Bets have been making multiple college visits, and this one they split up. Paula and Bets would head up this way for the Geneseo Open House, driving the 6 hours each way in one day. π³π³ That's the kind of crazy driving I admire. It would have been more fun if all of us had gotten time with them, but since that couldn't happen this time, Yessa jumped at the opportunity to be with them, as well as look at a school that also interests her.
The school is about a 40 minute drive, on the interstate, and since both Buds and I were working, this would be her longest solo drive to date. She had a little trouble with the GPS being more confusing than it needed to be, but she got there and to her job after the open house with no problems.
It was a beautiful day for the tour, and they had a great time being together. Paula also took lots of pictures, which I am so grateful to her for always doing.
The campus tour took them all over, including into the residence halls and a sample room.
Buds and I drove through campus the following weekend on our way to Letchworth, and thanks to Yessa talking us through the pictures, we knew what several of the buildings were.
Both girls liked the school. Yessa has plans to visit a couple more schools, and only time will tell what The Trips decide their college dreams look like next year. We'd love to have Betty and/or Yessa at Geneseo, but we will love them no matter where they are.
Thanks for making this visit happen, Paula! It was great for Yessa.
